For 30 years, Sciences Po Rennes has provided a public service mission of higher education and research. For this 30th anniversary, the students, teachers, staff and partners of the school had the opportunity to look back on the road travelled, in order to envisage the future together. Their desire to become committed actors in the transformation of the world is reflected in the implementation of a new and innovative educational project, characteristic of the Rennes model, symbolised by its raison d’être: “A humanist school to never stop learning and to take care of the world together”.
Opening up to the world: Sciences Po Rennes was the first IEP to make the third year abroad compulsory.
Anticipation: creation in 2012 of a campus in Caen specialising in transitions (citizen consultation, urban innovation, rights of future generations, etc.)
Cooperation and hybridization: Sciences Po Rennes is the first institution to have created, in 2018, a double degree with the INSA engineering school, and in 2021 a partnership with the Nantes Atlantique design school.
Societal and environmental responsibility: introduction in 2019 of a compulsory teaching cycle in the first year on “Climate issues and the living world” and a desire to make the school more democratic.
