Risk Weather Tech

The idea of this very young company, created in 2019 by climatologist Blandine Lhévéder and natural risk expert Gilles André, is to envisage a large number of realistic storm tracks that could occur on French soil in order to better anticipate extreme scenarios on our territory.

If the first application is to provide probabilistic tools for the insurance sector by enabling a more accurate estimate of the cost of natural disasters, this type of tool could also enable a better understanding of the vulnerability of large infrastructures recently installed on French territory, such as wind turbines or solar panel fields.
