Position description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- to perform and compare extensive simulations with the global sea-ice-ocean general circulation model NEMO4-SI3 driven by atmospheric reanalysis at two different horizontal resolutions (1° and 1/12°);
- determine the impact of resolution on the mean state of the model and the ability of the model to reproduce the
- record summer sea ice extent observed recently in the Arctic and Antarctic.
Profile and skills
- PhD in oceanography, ocean modelling or a related discipline;
- Have already published in international scientific journals;
- Experience in polar oceanography/glaciology;
- Advanced programming, post-processing and data management/analysis skills;
- Fluent English: level B2
- Capacity of analysis and synthesis
